EU-Funded Project (A-TIPSOM) Donates Cars to Beneficiaries to Fight Human Trafficking

In a significant development in the ongoing battle against Trafficking in Persons and Smuggling of Migrants (TIPSOM), this January marked a pivotal moment as the A-TIPSOM EU funded Project made a generous donation of four vehicles (trucks) to key beneficiaries. According to the team leader, Mr. Federico Millan, this donation aims to enhance the logistical capabilities of agencies at the forefront of combating human trafficking.
The beneficiary include the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), the Nigeria Immigration Service, the Nigeria Police Force, and NACTAL. The provision of these vehicles signifies a tangible step towards strengthening the operational capacity of these agencies and facilitating their efforts in addressing cases of trafficking and smuggling.
Representatives from NACTAL, Nigeria Immigration, NAPTIP, and Nigeria Police expressed their gratitude for the donation, emphasizing their commitment to maximizing the utility of the vehicles to improve response times and operational efficiency. This gesture is expected to streamline their efforts in combating TIPSOM and ensuring the protection of vulnerable individuals from exploitation.
They applauded the European Union and FIIAPP along with the entire A-TIPSOM Team, for their instrumental role in facilitating this donation.
